SIT organizes FDP, Invited Talks and Research discussions with distinguished faculty from abroad
Dr Pawan Lingras Professor, Department of Mathematics and Computing Science, Saint Mary's
University, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada conducted FDP on Advances in Rough and Soft
Clustering: Meta-Clustering, Dynamic Clustering, Data-Stream Clustering on December 17,
2019 in the Computer Science Department of SIT. It was well appreciated by all the participants.
Dr Sandeep Gupta, Director and Professor, School of Computing, Informatics, and Decision
Systems Engineering (CIDSE) Fulton Schools of Engineering, Arizona State University, USA
visited SIT on December 17, 2019. He discussed about research collaborations with the faculty
from SIT and also to initiate research internships for the students of SIT at ASU, USA.
New year 2020 started on a great note for Internationalization at SIT, as we had the privilege of organizing the Talk of distinguished professor Dr Kirti Ruikar from Loughborough University, UK on 3rd January 2020. The topic of her talk was “BIM and the Golden Thread of Building Information”. Dr. Ruikar addressed final year students, research scholars and faculty of Civil Engineering Department of SIT and discussed research collaborations. Her Talk helped the students to understand the need of BIM in construction and management of Civil engineering projects.
On January 10, 2020, SIT hosted Dr Razi Nalim, Executive Associate Dean for Research, School of Engineering & Technology; Professor of Mechanical Engineering & Director, Combustion & Propulsion Research Laboratory, Indiana University - Purdue University Indianapolis, USA. Dr Nalim gave a talk on “Wave Rotor & Propulsion Engines” for the students of III rd Year Mechanical Engineering Department of SIT. Dr Nalim also had a very fruitful discussion with the SIT Faculty on possible collaborative Academic and Research programmes.
